Rich in color, movement, and texture, this striking still life showcases Burridge’s distinctive expressive brushwork and heavily layered impasto surface. Saturated cobalt blue, turquoise, crimson, coral, yellow, green, and violet create a dynamic composition that brings warmth and personality to an interior.

The painting is signed by the artist on the front and inscribed on the reverse with the title and copyright attribution, “Still Life with Wine and Pears” and “© R. Burridge ’03.”

The substantial 30-by-24-inch landscape format makes this an eye-catching statement piece, whether displayed above an antique console, in a dining room, or as part of a thoughtfully collected art wall.

Its combination of expressive contemporary art and traditional still-life subject matter lends itself beautifully to eclectic traditional interiors, European-inspired country houses, collected Southern homes, and interiors layered with antiques, natural materials, and vintage furnishings.

Presented unframed, with painted canvas edges that complement its expressive, tactile character. See less
