This is a matched pair of finely cast antique gilt bronze sculptures depicting Qilin, mythical hooved creatures revered in traditional Asian culture as symbols of prosperity, serenity, and good fortune. The figures are captured in a dynamic, striding pose with their heads turned toward each other and mouths slightly open, as if in mid-roar. Each Qilin features a detailed, scaled body, prominent horns, and a dark, flowing mane and tail that contrast beautifully with the bright gilding. The bronze is extensively gilded, retaining a rich, warm gold luster with a natural, aged patina that reveals the darker metal beneath in the recesses. The pair is presented on a dark, textured surface, ready for display.

The gilding shows natural fading and rubbing across the raised surfaces, revealing the bronze base in some areas. The surface has a rich, aged patina with minor scratches and spots of oxidation. The dark-patinated manes and tails remain securely attached. Both pieces are structurally sound. Please refer to the photos for a detailed view of the finish and condition. less
