This is a finely carved pair of antique Baoding balls (also known as health or meditation balls), presented in a fitted, vintage wooden box lined with natural cotton batting. The two spherical balls are crafted from a smooth, cream-colored material with a subtle grain pattern. Each ball is intricately engraved in black ink: one features a detailed, scaly dragon amidst stylized clouds and a sun motif, while the other depicts a phoenix with flowing plumage in a similar celestial setting. The top of each ball bears a circular medallion containing a stylized character. The balls are designed to be rotated in the hand for relaxation and dexterity exercises. The set includes the original aged wooden box with a metal latch, adding to its collectible appeal.
