This specialized workstation perfectly bridges industrial utility and classic secretary desk silhouettes.

A prime feature of this piece is the dual-part horizontal tambour doors that smoothly split down the center and slide into left and right internal track channels, a classic patented space-saving hallmark of Hamilton’s commercial lines. Beneath the tambour section rests a fully functional, integrated slide-out ledge designed as a temporary writing space or tool shelf. The lower half of the cabinet offers a wide storage cupboard, a center drawer, and its original smoothly rolling industrial metal casters.

The cabinet completely retains its original hardware, featuring highly detailed, matching cast-brass or bronze rosette knobs. Inside the felt-lined drawer compartment, the pristine blue-and-silver factory identification tag remains perfectly intact, reading: "Hamilton Manufacturing Co. - Two Rivers, Wis. - Los Angeles, Calif. - Rahway, N.J." with stamped Model/Serial Code: 9198A-K979.

The exterior wears a beautifully aged, distressed black painted finish that lets the warm original hardwood grain peek through along the edges. Perfect as a moody entryway statement, a unique home office station, or a centerpiece for an industrial salvage collector. See less
