A handsome set of eight Spanish Colonial Revival dining side chairs, each with a ladder back of three hand-carved scalloped slats topped with turned finials. The solid wood frames wear a dry-brushed, distressed gray finish, beautifully contrasted by slung seats in rich cognac leather, secured with dark nailhead studs.
Acquired from the Houston Design Center. Unmarked. The leather has developed a warm, lustrous patina with use; the intentionally antiqued wood finish is consistent across the set. All eight are sturdy, with H-stretcher bases, and present beautifully together.
A versatile set that brings old-world warmth to modern organic, farmhouse, or eclectic dining rooms.
