An exceptional late 20th century dining table by Henredon, featuring a richly figured zebrawood veneer top with an elegant geometric diamond-pattern inlay and contrasting ebonized border.
The table is supported by tapered paneled legs with stepped architectural detailing, brass-tone foot caps, and a sculptural oval stretcher that creates a particularly refined silhouette from every angle. The combination of bold zebrawood grain, dark ebonized elements, tailored proportions, and restrained ornamentation gives the piece a sophisticated Neoclassical character with strong Hollywood Regency and modern-classic appeal.
This example retains its Henredon label, confirming the manufacturer.
The design is attributed to the Ralph Lauren Collection for Henredon, based on the table’s materials, proportions, construction, and design characteristics consistent with documented Ralph Lauren pieces manufactured by Henredon during the late 20th and early 21st century. The attribution is further supported by feedback from a former Henredon employee familiar with the company’s Ralph Lauren collection.
Two extension leaves are included, allowing the table to accommodate larger dining arrangements while maintaining its elegant proportions.
