Handwritten lines and delicate marks add intimacy, while a deep purple form adds weight. Created on BFK paper and presented in a slim black metal frame with a mat.

Compact and stylish, Happy Hour fits easily above a bar cart, in a bedroom or in a gallery wall arrangement, bringing a sophisticated dash of color. This piece will be carefully packed for safe shipping.

Medium: Mixed media on BFK paper (metal black frame), 2022. Dimensions (height x width x depth): 20 × 20 × 3/4 in.

Like much of Corcelle's work, the surface is built up in layers of paint, collage, graphite and scratched lines on handmade-feeling BFK paper, so the work reads one way from across the room and another up close. Expect small discoveries of texture and color the longer you look, and the frame and mat make it ready to display.
