Antique Mahogany Hall Tree Coat & Hat Stand With Lion Paw Feet,
A handsome freestanding mahogany coat and hat stand in the American Empire Revival style, believed to date to the early 20th century. Its tall, faceted octagonal column is topped with a turned wooden finial and supported by a four-legged pedestal base with beautifully carved lion’s paw feet.
The rich, warm mahogany finish complements six bronze hook fittings arranged across three tiers. Two single hooks at the top and four double hooks below provide convenient hanging space for coats, hats, scarves, and bags.
Combining sculptural detail with everyday functionality, this stand makes an elegant addition to an entryway, foyer, bedroom, or office. The early-20th-century date is an estimate; the exact manufacturing date has not been confirmed.
