Command any room layout with this monumental 20-inch original raku studio art pottery vessel by master California ceramicist Tony Evans (1942–2009). Part of his highly collectible "Ancient Sands Collection," this exhibition-scale sculptural vase perfectly balances organic, biomorphic geometry with a dramatic, double-winged architectural silhouette.
Handcrafted at the peak of his career in Healdsburg, California, the piece showcases Evans’s legendary mastery of ancient Japanese firing techniques. The exterior displays a gorgeous, multi-hued pastel glaze with metallic highs and lows, shifting seamlessly across shades of desert pink, soft charcoal gray, gold, and copper lustrous highlights. The rich, crackled "eggshell" glaze and stippled volcanic texturing create incredible surface depth that responds dynamically to ambient interior light.
With its massive, statuesque vertical presence, this signed investment-grade artwork serves as a pristine focal centerpiece for a luxury console table, dining room niche, or grand fireplace mantel staging.
