The underside of the porcelain base bears a “DE LITE” mark. The original base marks have otherwise been lost during alterations, so the precise manufacturer and date are not confirmed.

Exported porcelain body from Europe for the American market, assembled as lamps state side, sold through up market department stores, - purchased in Los Angelos, California pre - 1960's.

Designed in the form of a classical urn, with distinctive sculptural white wing-shaped handles, a flared circular top, tapered body and decorative foot. The central floral cartouches feature hand painted bouquets of pink, purple, red and blue flowers, complemented by smaller floral arrangements on the neck and base.

The porcelain bodies are finished with fine gilt outlines and decorative accents, and each lamp stands on a separate square, gilt-coloured plinth with an ornate moulded border.

The lamps are neoclassical styling with delicate floral ornamentation associated with traditional European-inspired interiors.
