Vintage Royal Doulton 6733 porcelain character jug pitcher of Geronimo from the Wild West collection.
Geronimo, the prominent Apache leader is depicted here with a pink headband, black hair, and a handle styled like a Native American tomahawk or war club wrapped with leather and adorned with hanging feathers. Designed by Stanley James Taylor circa 1984.
Geronimo (1829 – 1909) was the last leader of the Apache Indians while they were still independent of American Colonial rule. Although he fought many battles to protect the freedom of his people, in 1886 he surrendered to General Nelson Miles, and Apache territory became the state of Arizona.
