The spherical “eyeball” shade sits on a softly flared pedestal base, creating the futuristic silhouette associated with 1970s European design.
The warm-toned interior beautifully reflects the light when illuminated, giving the lamp a rich, atmospheric glow while the glossy white exterior keeps the overall look clean and modern. Its compact sculptural form makes it ideal as a bedside lamp, accent light, desk lamp or statement piece within a Mid-Century Modern, Space Age or contemporary interior.
The design is strongly reminiscent of Italian lighting from the late 1970s to early 1980s, including examples associated with makers such as Veneta Lumi / Nuova Veneta Lumi, although no confirmed maker’s mark has been identified on this example, so it is offered as maker unknown.
