An extraordinary and monumental collector's piece: A complete set of three Shoushan stone Buddha sculptures, representing the "Three Buddhas" (Three Ages).
This breathtaking suite of three carved stone figures is a masterpiece of traditional Chinese lapidary art. Each Buddha is seated in a meditative lotus position upon a double-lotus base, with hands held in various mudras (gestures). They are backed by intricately carved flaming mandorlas (halos), symbolizing divine light and enlightenment. The stone features a rich, warm amber and ochre palette with natural veining and a polished finish.
The set is mounted on custom-crafted, patterned fabric bases (as shown). In Chinese Buddhist tradition, the "Three Buddhas" represent the past, present, and future. This set is a significant collector's item, perfect for a meditation altar, a grand entryway, or an executive office.
