A striking, weighty art-glass bowl with a sculptural, stepped profile and beautifully layered color. Deep emerald green sits within bands of teal and soft blue-lilac, creating a vivid effect as the light passes through the glass.
The low, rounded form makes a lovely catchall for a console or bedside table, a jewelry dish, or a small centerpiece. Its substantial feel and saturated color give it presence even on its own.
The form is closely comparable to Sommerso bowls attributed to Mario Pinzoni for Seguso Vetri d’Arte. This bowl is unmarked, so the designer and maker attribution is offered as a possibility rather than confirmed.
