An original swedish mid-century modern painting on paper, framed behind glass, by inger åström, dated 1959, featuring a colourful modernist bottle still life in a bold graphic style. This framed vintage scandinavian artwork combines vivid blue, turquoise, pink and purple with strong black outlines and geometric forms, creating a wonderfully distinctive piece of 1950s swedish modernist art.
the composition depicts an arrangement of bottles in an angular interior, with simplified forms and an almost cubist-inspired approach to perspective. Its playful use of colour and graphic lines gives the painting a particularly strong decorative quality, somewhere between classic scandinavian modernism and the more expressive, colourful side of mid-century design.
the bottle motif makes it especially appealing as kitchen wall art, dining room art or home bar decor, while its genuine 1959 date and distinctive period aesthetic make it equally at home in a mid-century modern interior or eclectic gallery wall.
