Ilka plast established a firm reputation during the pop art era for its innovative, colorful plastics. The company utilized advanced molding techniques to create beautifully shaped, mass-produced plastic design objects for the modern home. This particular lamp features a striking mold with characteristic, pointed corners, giving the shade a captivatingly graphic silhouette. A typical characteristic of this manufacturing process is the presence of slight, dark streaks in the plastic: these occur directly during the pressing of the hot plastic into the mold, are an honest testament to the production process of the time, and lend each piece its individual charm. The vibrant look is completed by a perfectly color-coordinated, bright yellow cable that creates an exciting color contrast with the orange shade. As usual, the cable length or color can be flexibly adjusted to your individual preferences before shipping. The pendant light has been thoroughly cleaned, restored, and technically inspected by us. It is in beautiful vintage condition and ready for immediate use.
