The round desktop tray features seven highly detailed relief medallions directly moulded from ancient Roman imperial sestertius coins. The central portrait prominently highlights the laureate profile of Roman Emperor Trajan surrounded by legible epigraphy, while other medallions display the likes of goddess Pietas and ceremonial Roman scenes.
The piece has been treated with an authentic, historically applied dark chemical patina to mimic the look of ancient archaeological bronze.
Supported by four integrated, small peg feet on the underside, this heavy antique piece functions beautifully today as a classic desk organizer, a coin tray or styling catchall. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
designer records,
or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising
