Large, vibrant green arrow-shaped leaves wrap the body alongside delicate pink blossoms, twisting vines and realistic climbing tendrils. The entire scene is set against an earthy, deeply moulded basket-weave textured background.
True to the historic continental majolica style, the interiors are finished with a rich, glossy turquoise-blue aquatic glaze that contrasts elegantly with the organic palette of the exterior. The unglazed earthenware bases bear clear hand-impressed markings typical of period factory operations: an incised potter's/workman's mark "T" used to catalogue production output, alongside a geometric keyhole-shape stamp identifying the internal factory mould classification.
Pairs of high-relief Victorian majolica rarely survive intact without extensive fracturing to the foliage, making this matching pair a highly desirable decorative acquisition for any serious collector or high-end interior.
