Pitagora cruet set designed by Carlo Mazzeri for Alfra Alessi around 1960, combining Italian lead crystal with a precisely formed 18/10 stainless steel structure.
The set consists of two salt and pepper shakers and a smaller open container originally conceived for toothpicks. Each crystal element features the characteristic geometric, bugnato-inspired surface treatment associated with the series.
The faceted texture catches the light and creates a striking contrast with the smooth reflective stainless steel stand, whose central vertical element also serves as a carrying handle.
One crystal container retains its original label identifying it as Italian lead crystal with over 24% PbO, made exclusively for Alessi. The metal support is marked Alfra Alessi, 18/10 Stainless Steel, Italy, Mod. Dep.
Excellent vintage condition. All crystal elements are complete and intact, with no chips or cracks. Only light halos and minor traces of age are present on the stainless steel support.
