The work depicts a sophisticated woman sitting in a garden chair, rendered with vigorous, highly textured expressionist brushwork and a distinctive scandinavian modernist palette. Behind her, a lush dark green forest.

the energetic handling of paint, simplified forms and rich surface texture give the painting a particularly strong vintage character, while the large format makes it an impressive statement piece for a contemporary interior. A beautiful example of swedish mid-century modern expressionist painting.
