Its low, architectural structure rests on a recessed base, creating a subtle floating effect characteristic of the sophisticated Italian design language of the era. The piece is organized around a rigorous grid of alternating black lacquer elements and reflective stainless steel plates, creating a striking contrast between glossy dark surfaces and metal. The combination of geometry, lacquer, and metallic details clearly evokes the modernist and glamorous aesthetic associated with furniture designs from the 1970s. The stainless steel top plates have been replaced, as the previous ones were damaged. The small table also shows normal signs of age and use consistent with its age.
