A beautiful and very well made antique Edwardian tub armchair which could be used as a desk chair. This was made in England, it dates from the 1890-1900 period.
The quality is superb, the solid wooden frame is beautifully crafted, it is elegant yet study. There is fine carving at the top of the backrest and knees, the seat has a beautiful curved shape and stands on wonderful cabriole legs.
We have had the frame re-polished, this has been re-upholstered in a cream cotton fabric. It is in excellent condition for its age, with just some extremely minor wear remaining here and there.
