A decorative Scandinavian modernist table lamp, produced by an unidentified Danish manufacturer in the 1940s. The lamp is constructed almost entirely from brass and features a round stepped base, a fluted lower stem and a flexible upper section, allowing the position of the light to be adjusted. The conical brass shade is attached with an adjustable joint and can be tilted to direct the light as needed. The shade is decorated with a pattern of small perforations, creating small points of light when the lamp is switched on. A push-button switch is integrated into the base. The combination of the simple conical shade, flexible stem and functional construction is characteristic of Scandinavian lighting from the 1940s. The lamp has a warm, naturally aged brass surface with visible patina throughout, giving it a particularly attractive vintage character.
