A Scandinavian mid-century table lamp, produced by an unidentified Swedish manufacturer in the 1950s. The lamp features a distinctive V-shaped cast iron base supporting a brass stem with a black sleeve. The curved upper section of the stem holds a wide, disc-shaped metal shade, which can be adjusted to direct the light. A row of small perforations follows the outer edge of the shade, creating a subtle decorative detail and small points of light when the lamp is switched on. The combination of the sculptural cast iron base, brass details and gently curved shade gives the lamp a characteristic Scandinavian mid-century appearance. Marked “TMG 95” underneath the base. The manufacturer has not been identified.
