This incredibly stylish piece was made by original wellner in germany during the 1930s and is signed on the bottom. Fully original and in amazing vintage condition, with a charming natural patina. This stylish piece features an octagonal and highly faceted design, with sharply angled sides creating a sculptural and architectural appearance. The geometric silver-plated body is beautifully contrasted by two solid dark wood handles positioned at each end. The centerpiece is raised on an octagonal base that echoes the geometry of the upper body, giving the piece an elegant and harmonious profile from every angle. The underside retains the original manufacturer's mark “original wellner – alpacca schwerversilbert”. A wonderful example of german art deco tableware, combining rigorous geometric lines with refined materials and craftsmanship. Perfect as a centerpiece, vide-poche, or decorative object, it would make a sophisticated addition to an art deco, mid-century modern, or contemporary interior.
