Overview:
A striking piece of early 20th century photographic history, this Eastman Kodak NO. Three a folding pocket camera serves as a compelling industrial accent and sculptural object for a curated space. Originally engineered between 1910 and 1915 to shoot large postcard Size negatives, this iconic Machine age piece features a dramatic, accordion style black leather Bellows, chrome, tracking beds, a top mounted pop-up glass, brilliant view finder, and an elegant textured black seal grain leather exterior case.
The face of a lens standard features it’s original circular brass and black enamel. Kodak ball bearing shutter face plate displaying an ordinate interlocking EKC Corporate, monogram and historical patent stamps reading patented January 7, 1913 and patented January 19, 1914. The lower base frame retains its embossed brass manufacturers badge reading Eastman Kodak company, Rochester, NY, USA.
Note for designers and collectors:
The removable rear camera cover panel is absent, revealing the inner mechanics of the dark room, chamber and housing. A genuine, vintage wooden film, take up spool. This exploded open back, makes an excellent choice for staging flush against walls, nesting in bookshelves, or showcasing as an industrial curiosity piece in a creative studio.
