Celebrated for his impressionistic urban landscapes and bustling street scenes, DeVity studied under Giacomo Balla (co-founder of Italian Futurism) in Rome before opening his influential studio in Naples, verified by the authentic "Studio d'Arte A. DeVity Italia" canvas stamps.

What sets this specific pair apart as one-of-a-kind collector's pieces is the rare handwritten text and artist signature penned directly onto the wooden reverse frames by DeVity himself. Featuring poetic odes to the city—including "The lovely streets of Paris," "Movements in art vigorously pursued," and the prominent header label "Center Stage" alongside his personal handwritten signature—these inscriptions transform the paintings into deeply personal artistic statements.

Subject Matter: Impressionistic views of classic Parisian architecture, rainy avenues, and vibrant street life rendered with rich impasto textures.

Framing: Each piece is housed in an ornate, heavy gold-finished Rococo-style decorative gallery frame. See less
