Émile Charles Dameron (1848-1908) was a highly celebrated French landscape painter. A pupil of legendary masters
Constant Troyon and Léon Germain Pelouse, Dameron was a regular exhibitor at the prestigious Paris Salon.
He was awarded the coveted Troyon Prize in 1876 and a bronze medal at the
1889 Exposition Universelle (Paris World's Fair). Today, his works are preserved in numerous French national public collections, including museums in Lyon, Rouen, and Arras.
