This striking antique bronze sculpture depicts a standing deer, a traditional symbol of longevity, wealth, and good fortune. The figure is finely cast with an elongated, graceful neck, tall branching antlers, and slender legs joined at the base. The body is richly decorated with intricate gold inlay, featuring scattered plum blossom motifs, gold dots, and stylized scrollwork, along with inlaid characters along the neck. The bronze exhibits a deep, dark patina with extensive verdigris (green oxidation) throughout the surface and base, giving it a distinguished, excavated appearance. This piece is a powerful representation of traditional metalwork and would make a captivating addition to any collection of antique bronzes or Asian artifacts.
