This impressive vintage Chinese sculpture features a finely cast bronze head of Shakyamuni Buddha. The piece is modeled with serene, meditative features, including downcast eyes, a gentle smile, and elongated earlobes. The hair is depicted in traditional tight, coiled curls, topped with a pronounced ushnisha (cranial bump), symbolizing wisdom.
The bronze has a rich, warm patina with subtle highlights that accentuate the facial details and the texture of the hair. The hollow cast gives the piece a substantial yet manageable weight.
