The standing figures are rendered in the Greco-Roman tradition with finely modeled faces, hair, hands, anatomical details and deeply carved drapery cascading around the female figure. Carved from pale marble with natural veining and an aged surface, the sculpture stands on an integral shaped marble base. At approximately 44 inches tall, this is a substantial architectural-scale decorative piece well suited for an elegant interior, entry hall, garden room or covered loggia. Visible age-related surface wear, discoloration, soiling, scattered marks and imperfections consistent with display and handling. See less
