This is a distinctive piece of old oak furniture, which is particularly striking with its deep carving, articulated front architecture and beautiful dark honey-brown patina. The upper part consists of two wide drawers with rich geometric and plant carvings. The decoration is typical of Flemish and Dutch furniture from the 17th century - diamond motifs, stylized leaves, circular rosettes and plastic profiled elements appear here. The lower part is designed as a double-leaf cabinet with cassette doors, complemented by a shelf space in the interior. The side and central vertical elements are decorated with cut ornaments, turned motifs and vertical grooves. The chest of drawers looks very representative and solid. Thanks to its size and expression, it can serve as a dominant solitaire in a historical interior, a castle space, a stylish dining room, a study, an entrance hall or a collector's house. It is also suitable as a sideboard, storage chest or decorative cabinet furniture with an extraordinary atmosphere. The furniture shows natural signs of age and use, small cracks, unevenness, patina and older repairs corresponding to the age of the object. These are the features that underline the authenticity and historical value of the piece. According to the construction, the oak material used, the cassette doors and the character of the carving, it is very high-quality Flemish furniture with a 17th century expression.
