The bed is particularly impressive due to the exceptionally decorative veneer pattern, especially the use of distinctive slats and mirror-mounted fields on the headboards. The surface is further structured with fine marquetry made of lighter wood, which creates geometric frames and emphasizes the symmetrical composition of the individual surfaces. The rich gilded metal applications are a distinctive element. The high headboard has a decorative central ornament with acanthus motifs, other plastic applications decorate the side parts of the headboards. The footboard is complemented in the middle by an oval field lined with a gilded plant festoon, which gives the entire bed a festive and luxurious character. The combination of mahogany-colored veneers, slats, marquetry and gilded details creates a very impressive whole suitable for a castle interior, a historical villa, a representative bedroom or a luxuriously furnished residence. The bed is in very good condition, commensurate with its age. The wood is solid and without signs of active worm infestation. The construction is practically designed so that the bed can be easily disassembled into individual parts, which greatly facilitates handling and transport.
