The pile is made of fine cork wool combined with silk, which gives the surface a typical subtle shine and highlights the detail of the ornament. The composition is based on a distinctive central medallion, around which a dense floral decor with a rich arabesque pattern develops. The fine weave allows for exceptionally detailed execution of the motifs that are characteristic of Ghom rug. The color scheme combines warm shades of red and orange with blue, cream and green tones, creating a balanced and elegant whole. Silk elements give the rug depth and variability when the light hits it. Ghom rugs are among the finest and most sought-after, valued for their detail, representative appearance and long life. This piece is suitable as a distinctive solitaire for the interior or as a collector's item.
