Chinese Golden rug of Happiness - Hand-Knotted Wool rug 283 x 182 cm
Hand-knotted Chinese rug in a golden yellow hue with motifs of happiness and long life. The central field is decorated with a circular medallion surrounded by floral rosettes and blooming twigs in pink, blue, green and cream tones. The rich decoration is complemented by floral compositions in the corners. A wide gray-blue border with motifs of flowers and decorative containers is bordered by a delicate pink border. The rug is knotted from wool on a cotton warp with a density of approximately 90,000 knots per m². The warm colors and balanced ornamental decoration will stand out in an interior with antique furniture or as a distinctive addition to contemporary living. The rug was repaired in one place. The repair is only visible on the reverse side.
