The composition with richly modeled ducks and small game, complemented by a ceramic vessel and autumn leaves, is based on the tradition of 19th-century Dutch and Flemish painting inspired by older masters. The painter works with a dark background, contrasting light and a distinctive structure of the color layer, which gives the work depth and liveliness. The painting is signed D. Huyvetter (lower right corner). The canvas is solid, without damage, the color layer is stable. The work is mounted in a newer, high-quality frame, which optically highlights the painting without disturbing its character. The overall condition is excellent, suitable for both a representative interior and for collectors of traditional figurative and hunting paintings.
