A dark brown patinated spelter table lamp, imbued with the poetic charm of the late 19th century.
Its sculpted stem depicts a bucolic family scene: a young man seated holding a basket of fruit, surrounded by two children, with bunches of grapes at their feet. The molded circular base is adorned with a delicate frieze of roses in relief, while the arched blackened metal stem is decorated with two bouquets of cut and patinated metal vine leaves.
The translucent pink pressed glass shade, with its wavy and curved petals, diffuses a warm, soft light, characteristic of the 1900s aesthetic. A handwritten inscription under the base — *Auxerre, 11-04-93* — testifies to its presence in antique shops, adding a further touch of authenticity to its history.
In good overall condition, with slight wear consistent with its age.
