"Wankel" Brutalist coffee table
A stunning coffee table by Dutch designer and sculptor Dick van der Schoot, manufactured by the company Interstone in Musselkanaal.
The table features a distinctive convex triangular shape (equilateral), defined by its black synthetic edges. It is named after the Wankel engine—an internal combustion engine with a rotating triangular rotor that shares the same shape as the tabletop.
The tabletop is inlaid with natural stone in various sizes and understated colors, complemented by brass details. This combination creates a beautifully composed piece that is in excellent condition.
A real eye-catcher!
