Superb Georgian style mahogany partners desk combining traditional design with exceptional practicality Raised on a substantial plinth base and fitted with eight ash lined drawers. Circa 1920. The lower right hand drawer is double depth providing excellent storage for files and documents. The drawers feature attractive brass oval plate handles. The reverse is equally well finished with three faux drawers and matching brass handles. Two working cupboards provide further useful storage. The sides and drawer fronts are enhanced with shaped astragal mouldings adding depth and character. The generous top is inset with a quality tan leather writing surface. The leather features hand-applied gilt and blind tooling creating a luxurious workspace. Presented in good condition and ideal for a study library or executive office. Separates into three sections for ease of transportation and installation.
