A sophisticated, artisan crafted fireplace screen featuring open and airy scroll work with fleur-de-lis finials and a touch of flower detail with a unique four-cup configuration.

Favored by historic French blacksmiths, the vertical outer posts have a square bar twist design (Carré torsadé) that beautifully frames the delicate interior design. Each twisted outer post is comprised of two vertically stacked elements that join together to support an adjustable swing arm warming cup on each side continuing upward to the integrated finial cup. This technique not only provides excellent stabilization but allows the piece to preserve its graceful transparency. True to the refined Belle Époque aesthetic, details such as gently tapered scrolls and strategically spaced, structural iron collars highlighted in gold create brilliant visual rhythm and balance against the dark iron frame.

A masterfully executed work in turn-of-the-century ferronnerie d'art, this rare hearth screen offers a flawless marriage of skilled artisanship and noble elegance that will transform your hearth year-round into a stunning focal point that may be accentuated with candles and/or potted plants.
