The … Read more This is a large scale, 4 x 6’ (3” depth) decorative abstract painting, featuring birds, leaves, and branches . The piece was painted by local Maryland artist Carla Honeycutt. The piece was not made to be framed, but has built in wooden box frame instead and has a French cleat so that it can be mounted directly to the wall. The painting was made to "reveal" the hidden flow of nature and its natural abstraction within familiar themes and environments as manifested in long streams of color and poured surfaces. The large format and vivid colors make this a bold statement, its whimsical, almost folksy subject matter and renderings express joy and exuberance, while its silhouetted reveal technique leaves large white negative spaces that convey modernism and minimalism, thereby making it easily fitted to an array of various design interiors.
