Hermès 'Les Bécanes'—originally created in 1974 and reissued in 1990—is a silk scarf featuring a design by Raymond Poulidor.
The scarf depicts a vintage cycling scene featuring elegant young women. Bicycles, straw boater hats, and ribbon bows frame the central image.
A distinctive feature is the autograph of Raymond Poulidor, the legendary cycling champion. His 189 victories include four stages of the 1964 Tour of Spain, titles at Paris-Nice and the Critérium du Dauphiné, classics such as Milan-San Remo and La Flèche Wallonne, and the French national road race championship. He also reached the podium at the World Road Cycling Championships four times.
Please note that this vintage scarf has undergone a visible restoration (see the last two photos).
This special scarf is intended for collectors and cycling enthusiasts.
