A distinctive vintage French copper pitcher from Villedieu-les-Poêles, Normandy, a historic centre of French copper craftsmanship.
Its sculptural silhouette combines a rounded, vertically fluted body with a dramatically flared pouring rim and an elegant brass-toned handle ending in a graceful curl. The warm copper surface displays rich variations of golden brown and reddish tones, with a naturally aged patina that enhances its character.
The underside bears a stamped Viking ship emblem with the inscription “Marque Déposée – Garanti Villedieu – France,” identifying its association with the renowned copperworking tradition of Villedieu.
Likely dating to the mid-20th century, this petite pitcher makes an appealing decorative accent on a mantel, shelf or console, whether displayed alone or styled with dried botanical stems.
Interior images are shown for visual context only. Decorative accessories not included.
