Set of three vintage Old Hickory Furniture Co. American Provincial Paddle armchairs, circa 1930s. Showcasing the rugged charm and durable engineering of classic American rustic lodge design. Authenticated by a crisp, original "Old Hickory Martinsville Indiana" brand stamp on the wood, each chair is constructed from sturdy oak timbers and natural hickory poles complete with decorative finials. The backrests feature a beautifully tight, hand-woven herringbone pattern split-bark seatback that offers firm, supportive comfort while injecting rich organic texture. Thick, flat oak armrests with gracefully curved undersides flank a contoured solid wood saddle seat, highlighting the deep, time-matured grain of the wood. The robust base is engineered with splayed rustic legs interconnected by an architectural H-stretcher system, providing excellent stability. Finished in a dark, warm chestnut patina, this highly collectible trio is an exceptional addition to a rustic cabin, lake house porch, or Arts and Crafts style interior.
