This striking vintage cloisonne enamel sculpture is a traditional symbol of wealth and prosperity. The piece features a gilded crab holding a large, vertical coin between its claws, resting atop a mound of gold ingots and coins. The coin is decorated on both sides with a yellow ground, scrolling cloud motifs, and the characters "招財進寶" (Attracting Wealth and Treasures). The crab's body and the rectangular base are richly decorated with intricate wirework separating enamel cells on a turquoise ground, featuring scrolling floral motifs in shades of red, pink, blue, and white. The base features a rectangular plaque containing the characters "手中有錢" (Money in Hand), and the underside bears an embossed, square seal mark containing the characters "大明宣德" (Great Ming Xuande). This piece is a striking example of traditional enamel craftsmanship and makes a distinguished decorative accent for a desk, shelf, or business setting.
