Fish serving utensils in 833/000 silver and gilded bronze - Portugal, 1887–1937. Pair of fish serving utensils, consisting of a fork and knife, with handles in 833/000 Portuguese silver and functional parts in gilded bronze. The handles feature historicist-style relief decoration with stylized vegetal and floral motifs, oval reserves, scrolls, and pearly elements. The decoration is enhanced by the contrast between the polished surfaces and the darkened backgrounds. The fork has four elongated tines and the knife has a wide blade with a curved and scalloped profile, both with a gilded finish. The pieces bear Portuguese Javali II hallmarks, corresponding to the 833/000 silver content and the period 1887–1937. They show signs of use and antiquity.
