The Buddha displays a serene expression, elongated earlobes, hair represented by small curls, and elaborate monastic robes decorated with embossed vegetal motifs. His right hand is raised in abhaya mudra, a gesture of protection and fearlessness, while his left hand, turned outwards, represents generosity and the bestowal of blessings. The surface has a lacquered finish in shades of ivory, black, red, and gold, with pronounced craquelure and extensive polychrome loss, giving the piece a strong antique and decorative character. This Burmese-inspired sculpture, following the Mandalay artistic tradition, was likely produced in Myanmar during the 20th century. It does not bear a visible signature or workshop mark. The condition is consistent with the decorative nature and aged finish of the piece. The black base is a later addition. Object: Monumental Buddha sculpture. Representation: Standing Buddha.
