Painting on fabric, probably silk, depicting a river landscape with mountains, trees, traditional houses, and a fisherman in a small boat. The composition unfolds on different planes: a rocky and wooded bank in the foreground, a village near the river in the middle ground, and a mountain range shrouded in mist in the background. The river is crossed by a solitary fisherman, an element that reinforces the serene and contemplative atmosphere of the work. Flowering or snow-covered trees are highlighted through the application of white pigment. Executed predominantly in black ink and gray washes, with touches of white pigment, following the oriental tradition of landscape painting with ink. Signed in the lower left corner with two characters, apparently 玉華, which could be read as Gyokuka in Japanese or Yuhua in Chinese. It was not possible to securely link the signature to a documented artist. Artwork, likely Japanese, created during the 20th century, approximately between 1950 and 1970. Presented under glass, with a light passe-partout and dark wood frame. The painting and passe-partout show yellowing, stains, signs of dampness, and small oxidation spots consistent with age.
