Pair of 19th-century French hand-wrought iron wall sconces dating to circa 1890. Each sconce features an elongated, intricately twisted iron shaft that terminates in a circular wraparound detail supporting the light socket, creating a distinctive sculptural silhouette.
The sconces have been rewired for standard-size light bulbs and are fitted with beeswax-finish candle-style socket covers, adding a warm, traditional accent to the dark wrought iron. Their simple yet expressive craftsmanship makes them well suited to French Country, rustic European, traditional and eclectic interiors.
Ideal for flanking a mirror, illuminating an entryway or hallway, or adding character to a dining room, living room, or bedroom, this pair combines antique ironwork with practical updated lighting functionality.
