This striking pair of vintage bronze elephant figurines brings a touch of traditional elegance and prosperity to any interior. Each elephant is finely cast with a rich, reddish-brown patina and features gilded ears, tusks, and feet. Their bodies are further adorned with incised inscriptions, including the character "壽" (Longevity) and other auspicious symbols. One elephant is depicted with its trunk raised high in a gesture symbolizing good fortune, while the other has its trunk lowered playfully. The undersides show the hollow casting and are finished with exposed, solid metal. In traditional culture, elephants are symbols of power, wisdom, and strength. This pair makes a distinguished addition to a collection of Asian metalware or as a decorative accent.
